DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
I. Professional & Experience
A. At least 25 years old.
B. 5 years commercial tractor trailer driving experience with at least 1 year
over-the-road. Prefer tanker experience.
C. Must have a valid Class A CDL from state of residence with Tank
endorsement. Prefer HazMat endorsement also.
D. No more than 3 moving violations in last 36 months, nor more than 1
moving violation in last 12 months.
E. No serious or disqualifying traffic violations in last 3 years as follows:
- Reckless/careless driving.
- Driving while intoxicated or under influence of drugs.
- Hit an run, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident.
- Excessive speeding (15 mph or more over the posted speed limit).
- Improper or erratic lane change.
- Following the vehicle ahead too closely.
F. No preventable DOT recordable accidents within 3 years.
G. No DUI/DWI convictions.
H. No felony convictions.
I. Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines.
J. Due to nature of food grade products, pets are not allowed.
II. Personal Appearance
A. Uniforms are required and must be worn. No shorts or tee shirts.
B. Hair above the collar and well groomed.
C. Beards must be neatly trimmed. Must be willing to shave off beard if
customer's plant regulations require it.
D. No earrings or large jewelry.
E. Work shoes or boots with non-slip soles must be worn
(This does NOT include cowboy boots or tennis shoes).
